Are you searching for information about the great city of Des Moines, Iowa? Well, pat yourself on the back because you found it! This is the “un” official blog of Des Moines and central Iowa. Here, we write about just about anything and everything that has something to do with the big DSM. Don’t get your hopes up though, ’cause we don’t write very often. Like you, we have real jobs that pay the bills, so this is just a place we visit a few times a week month to keep everyone updated.
So, what are we writing about on this site? Well, we like to comment about the Des Moines Register, the popularity of our local Craigslist site, Des Moines public schools in general, the likes and hates of the Des Moines International Airport, the Civic Center, Des Moines car dealers, the best and worst hotels in the metro, real estate companies and agents, local tv and radio stations…the list goes on and on.
We are always looking for guest bloggers on iDesMoines, mainly because most of you are much better writers than we will ever be…and in part because we want your opinions. Lots of people ask about advertising here. We currently have a couple of banner ads, and we offer text links as well. Recently, we began doing site reviews, so that’s another one to consider. For whatever reason, we get lots of visitors and most are from Des Moines, West Des Moines, Ankeny, Waukee, Altoona, Johnston, Grimes, Urbandale, Windsor Heights and Clive. Have fun!
