Des Moines Iowa Car Dealer -Holmes Honda Serves You Right

My wife returned from the Omaha Zoo on Friday and heard a loud sound beneath her Honda CRV as she pulled into town.  After some investigating, I discovered that her air conditioner compressor had blown.  I immediately jumped online and learned that the problem was fairly common.  Fortunately the car was drivable, and we dropped it at Holmes Honda on Hickman Rd in Des Moines, where we purchased it new 4 years ago.  Josh informed me that the first chance they would have to work on the CRV would be Monday, but was able to confirm my diagnosis that same day.

On Monday, Josh let me know that Honda corporate had agreed to cover the part (even though the vehicle was out of warranty), although I’d be responsible for the labor.  That reduced my cost from $1500 to $700.  (it will be interesting to see what the corporate office has to say about this issue when I contact them…).   On Tuesday the work was finished and I picked up the car.  The service could not have been better and the entire transaction went very smoothly.  10 minutes after I got to the dealership, I’d paid for the repair and I was on my way.  Great job to Holmes Honda staff.  How was your experience with this Des Moines Honda dealer?
