After Christmas Sales | Des Moines
Did you get everything you wanted for Christmas? Judging by the number of people who are searching for “stores open on Christmas Day”, I’d guess that people are either bored and looking for something to do…or they want to get a jump start on their returns.
Ipod, Zune, Bratz, Webkinz, Tracfone, Virgin Mobile phones, epets, and mp3 players appear to have been some of the most popular gifts. In addition, lots of people are looking for a hot breakfast restaurant like the International House of Pancakes…aka ihop, denny’s, or perkins. Based on queries for recipies and cooking instructions…quite a few are obviously doing their own cooking, and some of the best eats include bisquick coffee cake, belgian waffles, sausage and gravy, and even prime rib and monkey bread???
So, getting back to the after Christmas sales in Des Moines and central Iowa…where is everyone going? Walmart, Best Buy, Younkers, Wal-Greens, Target, JC Penney, and Starbucks seem to be at the top of the list, judging from all the “store hours”, “stores open”, “after Christmas sales”, and “Christmas hours” activity online. Maybe you’re planning to hit lots of stores at once? Jordan Creek Mall, Valley West Mall, and Merle Hay Mall are all great places to get that done.
Quite a few people are always shopping for after Christmas day sales on laptops and computers, and electronics in general. So grab your day after Christmas ads and snatch up some deals before 2007 is in the history books.
By the way…do you know of any great sales that our readers should check out? What are the best after Christmas deals that you’ve found? Are there any websites that post this information (like they do for black friday sales)? And be honest…would you really tell us if you knew? Merry Christmas Des Moines…
